Gift card problem
No instructions on how to use the gift card.my recipients can never collect their gift card values. Ive sent thousands of dollars to American Greetings cards but my friends can never collect the values.
If this is a billion dollar company then how many billions are going uncollected? I would like to talk to an attorney at your company and ask one simple question How many dollars of gift cards attached to American Greeting cards go uncollected? At some point the company has to know there is a problem they can fix but are refusing.
Call me to discuss a settlement 510 237 **** Ive tried to call the Csr phone numbers but am not given an answer. What should I do?

Shopper's Advantage is not.
I called Shopped Advantage to let them know about my review and then I was transferred to another department/person who I assume was a manager. They gave me another 4 months refund so a total of 8 months out of 15.
I found out they have been withdrawing money from my checking without my permission. This has been going on for over a year.
It is my fault that I never noticed the deductions. They would only refund me back the past 4 months.
- That my money was debited without my permission i never ordered

Useless advantage program linked to WYNDAM Hotels.......
Wyndam should cancel their relationship as it is meaningless offer. Offered through them to try and get savings....and it is tarnishing Wyndam's reputation as the offer is OF NO VALUE. Never used it....and more a scam than anything else.

Shady, useless, and uses trickery to take your money.
Only reason I signed up was to receive a 50 dollar rebate on overpriced Fox Theater tickets from Ticketmaster, for some reason they're linked with the ticketmaster website.
I was prompted to call a number and was given a very lengthy and difficult to understand sales pitch, they set me up with an account for 99 cents for the first month then 16.99 per month after that.
I had no interest in the company or membership, I just wanted to get the rebate.
Well the rebate is mail in and takes 60 days to process so you end up paying 33.98 for the rebate, you also have to include printed bank statements to prove you actually purchased the tickets.
After learning this I promptly called to cancel and was transferred to 3 different people all giving me sales pitched to get me to stay signed up and to join other programs but eventually canceled and thought that was the end of it.
Well I received a 16.99 charge on my account a few weeks later and called the number on the bank statement within the hour of the charge to be reimbursed and the lady on the phone told me I was already canceled and didn't have an account, I then asked why they charged me and after a pause she states that I "Have a second account under my name"
I then told her to close that account and return my money, next I received another sales pitch and at the end she tried to transfer me to someone to talk about their rewards program.
I told her no and repeated my request to be removed from their system and my money returned.
She told me she canceled the "second" membership and would refund the money, I have yet to be refunded after several days.
This is the shadiest and slimiest business practices I have ever experienced and would suggest no one ever even consider talk to them on the phone much less ever sign up.
They're thieving cons and will trick you out of your money any way they can.

Charged $16.99 per month for 25 months without my knowledge.
TLG shoppers said that Spirit helped them to activate my membership.
I put a fraud alert thru my credit card company.
They charged $16.99 per month for 25 months.
I lost around 500 dollars because of Spirit.

Terrible - charge membership without knowing for 2 years
I don't remember how exactly they got me signed up but I remember trying to cancel, which I don't have a record - I can only blame myself for not being careful. Never used the website for a day.
I guess their business model is to prey on careless customers like me.
Called the customer service, canceled the subscription, and asked to speak to a supervisor for refund. They promised to refund me month-by-month for a total of 8 months credit.
Not sure if they will fulfill their promise yet.
I feel frustrated and not sure how if I did the right thing or was I being too easy to push around? :(
Total Scam
This company uses SPIRIT AIRLINES website to get you automatically suscribed to a service you never use, that you call to cancel and they never do it, and on top of that the cupon they offer never comes to your address.
Try to cancel online and it does not have any option as well. $16.99 a month

Useless Customer Service for Useless package
I was asked to sign up for this program a couple months ago and told I would receive information in the mail that never came. I finally got an email from both Travelers and Shoppers Advantage with a phone number. No issues with Travelers.
Shoppers Advantage has call center workers that do not fully understand the English language. I am from the Midwest and work very hard to not use any language that may be considered as slang or non-standard English when I call any business.
I had to repeat every question I had at least 2 times and sometimes 3-4 times before the first woman understood me. She was in a rush to get me off the phone. I hung up and found that the only way to cancel the account was to do so over the phone. I called back and got another woman. I told her I wanted to cancel. She asked me why. I told her - to save money. She then proceeds on a sales pitch to lower my rate. I broke in and told her I did not want a reduced rate. I wanted a zero rate. I did not want any specials or rewards or offers. I told her to fast forward through all of those screens and skip straight to the cancellation screen.
Suddenly the woman got a little short and seemed rushed to get off the phone with me. She cancelled the account and gave me the confirmation number.
I found zero advantage to either Advantage program. I will not ever recommend either program to anyone.
- There was no value to having the package at all
Preferred solution: Full refund
This is a scam
A lady talked me into signing up for me up for Travelers Advantage and somehow they enrolled me into this Shoppers Advantage and have been charging me an extra $16.99 a month for the last 4 months for nothing. This is a scam!

Reminder on how to cancel
I used to work for the retention*/costumer service department back in 2014 and I totally agree with you. This is a ripoff... although it's a pretty nice service. Too bad, as I said before, it's a ripoff.
*This is just a copy paste from a post I did back in 2014*
Alright, I hope this helps someone, some way or another.
When you call S.A. to cancel your membership, you will be reminded of the benefits you have. Once they "pitch" that benefit, interrupt them (be polite, please. I know this is tough). They will acknowledge you, but they will pitch one more benefit, or they will offer you a cheaper membership, offer you coupons, whatever. That's how it works. Then you can cancel... or, if you are convinced and interested for online shopping, you can keep the membership. Hey, it's up to you.
Anyway, if you cancel, call back 10 minutes later and make sure they cancelled your membership. There's occasions the agent who assisted you doesn't cancel your membership, just to keep their level of retention or just to keep a bonus.
Also, make sure they give you a cancellation code. The cancellation codes for S.A. usually start with the letter 'S'. Great Fun's first cancel letter begins with 'Z'. Not sure for Travelers tho.
NOTE: Cancelling you membership for S.A. won't cancel any other memberships such as Travelers Advantage, Great Fun, and some other sister companies that S.A. has that I don't remember.
PROTIP: If you want to cancel very quickly, just call, make sure they have your membership on their screen. Once they have your membership on their screen, tell them to cancel, wait a couple of seconds, maybe half minute, and hang up. Call a couple of minutes later and make sure your membership was cancelled.
I'd like to add that us agents are only authorized to give out a maximum of 4 months of refund and, if you have more than 5 monthly charges (which I hope not), you'll be transferred to support. If they tell you that you are not eligible for a refund ask a couple of more times until they say they will talk to their supervisor or something. I don't know how Support manages the refund thing, so don't ask me (sorry). Refunds take up to a maximum of 7 business days or 2 billing statements to be credited back to your account.
And I understand that you would be boiling with anger when you call us because hey, you just asked for another service a $100 gift card! Heck, I'd be pissed too! but most of us are just honest people working for a paycheck, that actually care for the costumer, so please, if you have a membership for us, be polite. I hope I didn't sound rude, I just really want to help out.
*Retention is the department that will try to convince you to try out your membership. In other words, they'll try to make you keep the membership.
Man, I wish this company was more honest. I mean, this service is pretty good for the people who shop online and do a bit of shopping in person, but it's just sad that the company lures people into this.
